With only $8,000, she put up Texas Motor Transportation Consultants (TMTC) in 1980 to assist motorists with tasks such as mileage and fuel records management, fuel tax computations and meeting regulatory requirements for clients. TMTC has annual gross revenues of $2 million and five employees to help Parrack with the 500 clients. Parrack cites the UP Chapter of the American Business Woman Assn in Houston, TX, for having helped her professional growth.

As executive director of My Sister's House Inc, Major serves up to 36 women and children who have been victims of domestic violence by providing temporary shelter and support services. The non-profit agency she runs is based in North Charleston, SC. Major acknowledges the role of the American Business Women's Assn in shaping her career and life.
