Breast cancer: One diagnosis, three treatments
Article Abstract:
Three women recounts their experience of facing the life-threatening disease, breast-cancer, and the way they sorted through a myriad of therapies and chose the right one for them. Bilateral mastectomy with chemotherapy and follow-up with drug tamoxifen, lumpectomy, sentinel-node surgery and radiation, and lumpectomy with radiation were the three treatment procedures chosen by the three young women for treating breast cancer.
