Child care: how does your state rate?

Ratings of all 50 states for child care quality, safety, availability and government policy are presented. The ratings account for child to care provider ratio, state funding of child care services, caregiver training, proper health and safety, and many other topics.

Child care: how does your state rate?

The child care policies of the 51 states were evaluated using criteria including group size, tax breaks, par rates, and adult supervision. The states of California, Maryland, and Wisconsin were ranked considered best in terms of funding and child care spending.
