Article Abstract:
The former mental patient was originally labeled schzoiphrenic in 1960 when she was 12 years old for symptoms which today would be considered normal adolescent behavior. Now, at age 50, after 38 years of psychotherapy, shock treatments and drugs, she has taken control of her histrionic personality and was awarded a 1998 Courage to Come Back Award by the Toronto's Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Foundation.

Article Abstract:
A woman describes the horror of a shooting that took place when she was attending school. In all, 14 people were killed, 13 injured, and then the gunman killed himself. Some of the victims were friends and acquaintances, and a successful movement to bring about tougher gun control legislation in Canada folowed.
