Social Security turns 70: Bush plans forced retirement
Article Abstract:
The Republican leadership announced in 2005 that they would proceed with legislation for the retirement of the Social Security that turned 70 on August 14, 2005. A number of GOP bills are introduced that would revamp and consequently undermine this vital social insurance program that in 70 years has never missed a check for retired and disabled workers and dependents of deceased or disabled workers.
