Cooking up success

Article Abstract:

Adela Batin, a member and 1986 Top Ten Business Woman honoree of the American Business Women's Assn., loves life in the wilderness of Alaska. Her passion for the Alaskan lifestyle drives her to strive for self-sufficiency, as seen in her practice of hunting for game, growing her own vegetables and preparing her own bread. She recently authored 'Best Recipes of Alaska's Fishing Lodges,' a cookbook which has drawn very favorable reviews. She believes the success of women lies in their ability to use their talents and the opportunities given them to surmount the challenges they meet.

Article Abstract:

Proper employee motivation can guarantee productivity, enthusiasm and creativity in the workplace. Workers may be motivated by money but there are also other factors to be considered such as the satisfaction of personal, intellectual, emotional and social needs. Workers also want recognition for their efforts and employers should take steps to show appreciation for a job well done. Acknowledgements may range from a simple 'thank you' to written notices and small celebrations where an employees' work is highlighted. These will motivate employees to continually do their best.
