Dangerous car seat mistakes and how to avoid them

The misuse of a car seat, which is perilously easy, could seriously compromise its effectiveness, and result in children being needlessly injured and even killed in automobile accidents. Some of the serious mistakes that should be avoided at the fitting station are presented.

Car seats are discussed with emphasis on their correct installation and the different types available. In the United States almost 80% of these seats are fitted incorrectly and advice on their proper use is presented.

Children's car seats are discussed with emphasis on their correct installation. 85% of car seats are used incorrectly often because of wrong advice and some common problem areas are described and solutions presented.
