Forty-six-year-old Canadian Diana Tilmury is a remarkable woman. A mother of three children and a professional truck driver, she has more guts and fire tha n some men. Tilmury gained the respect and admiration of fellow Canadians when sh e fought for the creation of an ethical practices committee to police the activit ies of the corrupt Teamsters Union where she belongs.

Statistics in Canada say that charges for violent offences committed by youngsters aged 12 to 17 rose from 9,300 in 1986 to 18,800 in 1991. The figures reflect the popular culture propagated by the mass media and perceived by the youth that arms and weapons give power.
