Vegetable oils were once thought of as merely flavorless liquids whose main use is to keep foods from sticking to the pan. Today, however, vegetable oils such as canola, peanut, soybean, walnut, hazelnut, corn, sesame and olive oils are used to provide flavor and international style to dishes.
