Education still number one ABWA

Article Abstract:

During the yearly Association message at ABWA's 1997 National Conference, Carolyn B. Elman shared that ABWA is currently the learning resources of choice for working women. Elman said that 1997 marks that 10th anniversary of the leadership training programs to which over 15,000 women have joined. She also cited several new projects by ABWA, among of them is the 11-month Membership Training and Development Certification program.

Article Abstract:

The American Business Women's Assn. offers different support services to cater to the needs of its nearly 12,000 members. Its Express Networks was specifically developed for executives and professionals while its Company Connection was launched for members who are establishing their own businesses. The association's Career Enhancement Series is for enhancing chapter programs and PrimeTime Connection is for retired members.

The American Business Women's Assn. offers support services that cater to the different needs of its members. The association, which is the 4th largest women's group in the US, was founded by Hilary A. Bufton Jr. It offers educational programs, on-the-job training, professional development, financial assistance and other services geared at promoting working women's welfare.
