Family meetings: 15 minutes a week can help you deal with issues big and small, and make everyone feel like part of the team

Article Abstract:

Family meetings which are regularly scheduled and short, allow the family to plan, attend to problems, and listen to each other. Meetings should be serious and not done with other activities such as eating. Note taking is good and a planned agenda helps the flow. Tips on what to avoid are given.

Mothers must be able to assess the needs and provide adequate emotional support to their daughters, particularly during the early stage of sexual development. They must assure their daughters that such physical changes are normal and be open-minded in coping with their mood swings.
