"Father's rights" groups: beware their real agenda
Article Abstract:
Fathers' right groups claim that federal courts are biased and often award sole custody of children to the mothers while fathers are only given visitation rights. Hence, they started campaigning for legislations that will support forced joint custody of children as they believe that this is better custody arrangement and will be for the best interest of the children. However, there is documented proof indicating that joint custody has a negative effect on children because it serves an extension of the battleground of the parents.

Abortion rights supporters challenge opponents' dangerous, deadly tactics
Article Abstract:
A spate of violent incidents targeting abortion providers has led to the death of one abortionist but abortion rights supporters are fighting back in court. Abortionist Barnett Slepian was shot down in fall 1999 and on March 13, 1999, a bomb exploded at the Femcare Clinic in Asheville, NC, which did not result in any damage or injury. Proponents of abortion rights, meanwhile, have won a $107 million lawsuit against the American Coalition of Life Activists for maintaining a 'hit list' on its Web site.
