Feminist perspectives on female offending: examining real girls' lives
Article Abstract:
This article uses current feminist theories to examine the social factors involved in juvenile delinquency among girls. Current studies have examined gender stereotypes prevalent in early theories on delinquency and have provided new insight into the female offenders' experiences with victimization, sexism, and racism within the criminal justice system.

Women's accounts of domestic violence
Article Abstract:
This article examines women's explanations of their experiences with domestic violence to gain insight into their understanding of abuse. Thematic analyses of women's accounts revealed that the majority of women presented their experiences as a story and included background information, problem statements, and explanations of relationship issues.

Domestic violence victims' behavior in favor of prosecution: effects of gender relations
Article Abstract:
Many women arrested with an abusive domestic male partner in family violence investigations are unwilling to file charges against the man. Injury and assault severity and mutual charge tend to prevent women from attempting to prosecute these cases.
