Flirting with stereotypes: turns out sweat and mud dissolve gender roles

Article Abstract:

A woman describes what she learned about life after joining Saturday coed soccer games. Both men and women carried their stereotypes to the games in spite of carefully thought out rules for coed play. But as months went by, many stereotypic behavior patterns were lost, and real respect was gained.

An estimated 7 million Americans will buy subliminal tapes in 1993 although the effectiveness of these recordings has not been established. Subliminal tapes are based on the assumption that the subconscious mind can perceive and be influenced by inaudible messages.
