Working women in France enjoy remarkable benefits: A six-month maternity leave, affordable full-time or part-time day care, government-subsidized tuition for her children, and a monthly cash grant from the government. The downside is that women are not taken seriously in the workplace and few French women have been able to make it into important positions.
