Get a leg up; the ins and outs of thigh toning

Front and back thigh muscles are normally stronger than the inner and outer muscles because they receive more daily use. Strengthening the outer and inner thighs can add greater stability and improve the overall appearance. An inner and outer thigh exercise is described.

Give it a tri: strengthen a muscle that doesn't get much work

Article Abstract:

The triceps, on the back of the upper arm, are little used in normal daily activity and exercise may be necessary to prevent a flabby appearance. The triceps kickback exercise isolates those muscles and can be performed either with a dumbbell or cable pulley.

Do the split; try this cross between a squat and a lunge

Article Abstract:

Many activities, including walking, running, cycling and lifting, depend on leg strength. One good lower body exercise is the split squat, which imitates the lifting of heavy objects. Exercise techniques are discussed.
