Guidelines ensure accessibility for all

Article Abstract:

The National Organization for Women (NOW) established the Disability Rights Conference Implementation Committee in 1992 to ensure that accessibility and disability rights are implemented at all levels of the organization. The committee sends out guidelines to all NOW chapters to help them make meetings and public programs accessible to disabled people. It is also in charge in providing disabled members with special materials and services such as audio tapes, mobile scooters and the use of sign interpreters.

You can make it happen

Article Abstract:

The National Organization for Women's rally on Apr 9, 1995, will provide women with an opportunity to express their opposition to Republican policies on welfare. Women activists are of the opinion that conservative Republicans' views on feminism and domestic violence will encourage violence against women.
