Issues relating to the benefits of the soy bean are discussed. It is estimated that $3.7 billion will be spent on soy products in a year, a testimony to the product's benefits in combatting many health problems. However, questions have been raised about the validity of these claims, even suggesting that the effects may actually be adverse.
