A study reveals that around six million kids between the ages 5 and 14 cares for themselves while their parents are working out. The kids who can handle well being home alone are those who live in safe neighborhoods with good public transportation, have easy phone access to parents, relish responsibility, structure their time well, resist negative peer pressure and feel comfortable on their own.
