Images of prostitution: the prostitute and print media
Article Abstract:
Issues concerning different and often contradictory images of prostitution in the mass media are discussed. Five key urban newspapers in Canada are studied for the most prevalent themes associated with the sex trade, which are nuisance and violence, child abuse, and non-Western prostitution.

After the tsunami

Sheri Pickering describes her experience of facing the tsunami disaster on the Patong Beach in Phuket. She believes that the experience has made her change her outlook and enabled her to tolerate things in a better way.
