A woman's ability to conceive can be affected by certain conditions. These include endometriosis, sexually transmitted diseases and irregular menstruation. Other factors that may interfere with a woman's ability to get pregnant are Fallopian tube damage arising from surgery in the pelvic region, as well as some diseases such as severe diabetes, tuberculosis or lupus.
