Parents must be able to detect early signs of speech and language disorders in order to prevent children from developing social, physical and cognitive complications. It would be helpful for children born with language disorders to be exposed to various sounds and manipulative toys.

Guns and children

Issues concerning children's access to firearms in the US are discussed. The very high number of children's deaths caused by accidents or shootings and the campaign by parents to question carers or parents about gun ownership are discussed.
