It's in their blood: for these two Olympic hopefuls, kayaking is a family matter

Chladek is the daughter of world champion Czech kayakers Stan and Ema Chladek, and is married to Thierry Humeau, an Olympic slalom competitor. Harbold's father was a member of the Hungarian rowing team and taught his daughter to kayak. Both women hope to make the next Olympic team.

Article Abstract:

US Champion diver Eileen Richetelli injured herself when she overrotated a dive in 1993. She rested her body for several months and now is hoping to win a spot at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Becky Ruehl switched from gymnastics to platform diving after suffering from tendinitis.
