Jump started: prepare for ski season with plyometrics
Article Abstract:
Plyometrics is a series of exercises that simulate the same motions used while skiing such as hopping, jumping and leaping. Performing these exercises 2-3 times per week is a good way to prepare for ski season. Three exercises are demonstrated.

These boots were made for hiking

Thirteen lightweight women's hiking boots were evaluated by testers for comfort, flexibility, stability and water repellency. The $110 Tecnica Hurricane Dry was the top-rated boot. The $120 Vasque Alpha GTX also earned high marks.
