Article Abstract:

Gold-level members of different chapters of the American Women's Business Association (ABWA) employ almost every conceivable tactic and strategy to recruit new members to add to their dwindling numbers. The association's Las Vegas Centennial Chapter was experiencing a fall-out of its members and was in dire need of new fund sources. ABWA recruiter Rama Shaw employed telephone networking during the spring membership campaign and successfully recruited 28 new members. Other recruiters use such diverse methods as business cards, sending information through mail, and even on the spot recruitment at movie theaters.
