Making the law a silent partner

Article Abstract:

Small business owners must be aware of the laws that concern their enterprises to prevent any legal inconveniences that may arise in the future. Firms that offer products or services must be aware of patent laws to avoid violation of any existing copyrights on the products. Trademark infringements can be avoided by careful selection of business names and by referring to periodicals such as the Official Gazette. Businesses can also prevent any legal disputes through written agreements. Important transactions such as loans, rendered services, and ownership negotiations for property, equipment, or ideas can all benefit from proper documentation.
