Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCO) is a hormonal disorder that affects about 10% of women of reproductive age which doctors often fail to diagnose. PCO increases the risk of heart disease and diabetes after menopause. Symptoms include irregular periods, obesity, acne and excessive body hair.
