There are over 60 minerals in the body, the need for most of them as yet unknown. It is known that boron, chromium, copper, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, sodium, zinc, as well as calcium and iron, are essential. Sources and functions of the minerals are presented.

Soy backlash
Article Abstract:
Soy was seen as a food with health benefits including reducing the risk of breast cancer. The results of studies reported in 2000 reveal that soy may not be as healthy as first thought, particularly if taken in supplement form.
