The Nia exercise technique was invented by fitness professionals Debbie and Carlos Rosas in the early 1980s. They had grown tired of high-impact exercise regimens and associated injuries. Nia is a fusion of yoga, martial arts and dance through movements that involve the body, mind and spirit.

Stretching - the truth

Article Abstract:

Ten to 15 minutes of stretching, when performed correctly and regularly, will make one look and feel younger. However, one should be warned against ballistic stretching and the 'no pain, no gain' mentality. Six stretching moves for specific body parts are presented.
