My mother lives in another city and plans to visit. I am always upset by her criticism, yet I feel too guilty to say no. What should I do?

Adult children may find it difficult to deal with criticizing mothers. However, the fact remains that both parties should work to attain a harmonious relationship where support plays an essential role. Constant reassurance of love and support would be helpful in resolving conflicts.
