NOW Foundation to recognize intrepid woman at annual gala

Article Abstract:

NOW and the NOW Foundation's fourth annual Intrepid Award gala would held in the beautiful East Hall of Union Station in Washington, D.C. on September 14, 2006 and once again emceed by award-winning news anchor Maureen Bunyan. The gala would honor four extraordinary women whose lives epitomize the dictionary definition of the word 'intrepid', resolutely courageous, fearless and bold.

The second annual Intrepid Awards Gala held in Washington D.C., United States, in 2004 and the achievements of the four women honored are reported. The honorees received framed prints of 'Trial by Fire' donated by artist Beverly Ryan of Alexandria, Va.
