NOW challenges right wing's first 100 days
Article Abstract:
National Organization for Women (NOW) activists have embarked on a high-level campaign to protest the violent climate being perpetrated by right wing groups. NOW leaders launched its 100 Days of Action program on Jan. 4, 1995, to serve as an ultimatum to the Republican-dominated Congress which they claim is sowing an atmosphere of intolerance and hatred through its inflammatory rhetorics.

NOW declares state of emergency: campaign to save women's lives
Article Abstract:
The National Organization of women is mobilizing women's rights groups to fight against attacks on reproductive rights that are expected now that George W. Bush has been declared the winner of the presidential race. One special concern is persuading the Senate from confirming abortion foes to replace retiring Supreme Court judges.

NOW declares state of emergency: feminists respond in force
Article Abstract:
A demonstration was quickly organized by the National Organization of Women and 150 other groups to protest the Senate's continued selection of nominees for the Supreme Court who do not support women's reproductive rights. A women's reproductive health fair was also held.
