Violence scars summer '99
Article Abstract:
The National Organization for Women (NOW) New York City chapter has responded to assaults at the 1999 Woodstock and, in relation to hate crimes in general, the national NOW organization works to educate the public so that people will understand that all acts of hate are related, whether white supremacist, anti-lesbian/gay or coming from the pro-life, or anti-abortion, movement. The organization encourages chapters to report hate cimes to the National Action Center of NOW.
