Some foods help the human body fight off viruses that cause diseases by strengthening the immune system. These foods include antioxidant-rich foods, such as spinach and carrots, and herbal foods such as echinacea and ginseng. Natural techniques, such as hydrotherapy and massage, may also help.

Women can better understand their food cravings and sleeping habits by tuning in to their circadian rhythm. This 24-hour cycle controls the release of hormones, thus explaining changes in sleep patterns and appetites. Some doctors have also begun linking treatment to menstrual cycles.
