Newborn jaundice
Article Abstract:
Newborn jaundice is not a disease, but a common disorder after birth in which the liver cannot fully process a blood pigment called bilirubin. Most cases can be treated by putting the baby under special lights for 1-2 days. Some cases are caused by a blood incompatibility between mother and baby.
