A new movement that seeks to alter traditional end-of-life care for Americans is taking shape in the US. The movement arose out of concerns regarding the legalization of assisted suicide in several states and the need to increase the level of caregiving provided to the chronically ill and the disabled.

Putting pain in its place
Article Abstract:
Diagnosing the causes of pain is a difficult process for physicians and patients. One problem is that of referred pain, in which the pain occurs in one area but is caused by something in another body part. Angina, for example, is a heart problem which causes pain in the arm and hand.
