Pacifiers and thumbs

Article Abstract:

Many babies need to suck on their thumbs or on pacifiers to soothe them. The age that babies start and stop this habit varies. Both pacifier and thumb have advantages and disadvantages, but can affect speech development and create dental problems as the child grows older.

When to worry about infant diarrhea

Article Abstract:

Diarrhea in infants is characterized by more frequent, watery bowel movements than usual. Dehydration from diarrhea is a concern for infants because their systems are delicate. Causes and treatments for diarrhea are discussed.
