Six recipes for delicious, but low-fat, burgers using ingredients such as tofu, tuna and mushrooms are described. All the recipes contain no more than 7.6 grams of fat and 293 calories, but lots of nutrients and flavour.

Pasta lovers who are watching their weight have an alternative in the healthy low-fat versions of gourmet pasta dishes. These easy-to-prepare pasta entrees include fettucine Alfredo with chicken which has only 260 calories and 4.5 g fat, and ravioli in roasted vegetable sauce with only 24% of calories from fat. Twelve of these low-fat pasta choices were sampled.
