Peace protest draws thousands to rally against Iraq war

Article Abstract:

NOW volunteers and members of NOW's Action Staff marchers rallied in the center of the nation's capital Washington D.C. calling for an end to the war in Iraq. The 'stop the war NOW' resolution supports a constructive and expeditious withdrawal of American troops from Iraq and an investment of humanitarian funds to encourage Iraq rebuilding.

NOW calls for peace as Bush wages war

Article Abstract:

War and terrorism in any form is heinous crime against mankind especially against women and children who bear the brunt of these attacks. Looking at the President George W. Bush's track record people wonder about the veracity of his claims that he would bring democracy in Iraq and equality to Iraqi women.

In the US, National Organization for Women(NOW) and Code Pink, an anti-war organization, are drumming up support against war in Iraq. Code Pink urges all to take a stand against war and uses non-violent civil disobedience to achieve its goal.
