There are many nonviolence programs available for schools to use to help children cope with bullying and anti-social behaviour. Michael Krupnick of PeaceBuilders, a widely used program, says that the emphasis should be on building self-esteem and self-respect which helps change the way children feel about themselves.

Toilet training toddlers can be easier if parents do not pressure children to become trained or exhibit distress about accidents. Children do not have problems if they are allowed to determine the progress of toilet training. Other psychological aspects are described.
