Peak bagging, or climbing specific mountain peaks, is attracting women of all ages. Information about ten peaks is presented. Peaks include: Mt Washington, Mt Rogers, Mt Elbert, Wheeler Peak, Mt Whitney, Mt Katahdin, Guadalupe Peak, Borah Peak, Longs Peak and Humphreys Peak.

Orienteering is a sport that involves running through a wooded area, racing the clock, while using a topographic map and finding as many control points as possible along the course. The sport originated in Scandinavia in the 1920s and spread to the US in the 1940s.
