Philadelphia NOW holds riveting women of color & allies summit

Article Abstract:

NOW has planned to organize women for color and allies summits in different regions at the national NOW Women of Color and Allies Summit in Arlington, Virginia in April 2005 which is a major step toward NOW's goal to strengthen connections and alliances with women of color. With the invigorating theme 'Empowerment: an Inward an Outward Journey for Women of Color,' Philadelphia NOW held an action-packed Women of Color and Allies Summit on March 17-18, 2006 at Philadelphia Community College.

Seventh annual Love Your Body day arrives with new fanfare

Article Abstract:

The preparations for the seventh annual Love Your Body day organized by the NOW foundation to promote healthy body images for women and girls are detailed. The goal of the campaign was also to increase awareness of women's health issues such as tobacco and alcohol addiction.
