Further validation of the relational ethics scale
Article Abstract:
The reliability and validity of the relational ethics scale (RES), which measures the related constructs of relational ethics, is tested. In the first study, the scale's reliability and validity with single, unmarried young adults is affirmed. In the second study, which considered the possible differences in the scores of single, never-married young adults and the original normative sample, several interesting findings were generated. Among these are that ethical issues with one's family may not come out until after a marriage and that age may influence the way one assesses his family of origin.
