A 37-year-old female runner recounts her experiences attending a one-week Power Yoga Workout at the Omega Institute near Rhinebeck, NY. At the end of the week, she felt an increased sense of fitness and mindfulness and less desire to be competitive. Eight months later, she is still practicing yoga.

Meredith Rainey and Joetta Clark are two of the top US female athletes who plan to compete for a spot in the Olympic 800-meter event. Rainey, 27, has been competing since she was 8 and has a degree from Harvard. Clark, 32, has a masters degree in sports communications.
