Article Abstract:
A feminist clinical psychologist describes her growing up which had been judged as a failure in socialization. In the field of psychology and psychiatry, men's concepts about women were the canon; women's issues that challenged these concepts were ridiculed or met with anger. However, once the revolution started, it could not be stopped. Alternative concepts on therapy for women was one item in the feminist agenda. Cross-cultural and culturally-based feminist therapy was another. In the process, language appropriation was inevitable. It is one of the means to empowerment.
