Redefining a health body

Article Abstract:

Measuring the ratio of body fat to muscle tissue is a good way to determine if a person is overweight or not. Three methods for measuring body fat include sitting in a tub of water and calculating the displaced water, pinching areas of skin and averaging the difference of hip girth to height.

Presenting: the brave new body

Choreographer Mark Morris likes to use dancers with a variety of body types in his productions. Because many of his female dancers are heavier than the typical dancer, his productions are promoting the idea that all kinds of female body types are beautiful.
