Reference checks offer valuable insight

Article Abstract:

One important aspect of reference checking is how to gain valuable information about a job applicant. Strategies in reference checking include consideration of references other than the written ones. A candidate's list should not be enough when trying to achieve relevant information. Details on the work behavior of the applicant that demonstrates good performance could also help in hiring decisions.
