Reproductive rights battle continues unabated

Article Abstract:

The reproductive rights battle, recent developments, and the involvement of the National Organization for Women (NOW) are discussed. The NJ teen endangerment/parental notification bill, the Maine abortion procedures ban, endangering of FDA approval of RU-486 by a House bill and other aspects of the issue are covered.

Victory in Maine just the beginning for feminists

Article Abstract:

A successful campaign is described that prevented the passage of an abortion ban on Maine's 1999 ballot. The campaign targeted the vague language of the bill, which could have been interpreted to apply to all abortion procedures at any stage of a woman's pregnancy.
