Respecting our differences

Article Abstract:

Changing workforce demographics will increasingly compel employers to promote diversity awareness within their organizations and to help employees modify their attitudes about people of different races, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation and physical abilities. In creating diversity awareness programs, employers should consider individual differences, be honest with people in giving feedback and be willing to listen to others. They should also serve as role models.

Funding your entrepreneurial dream

Article Abstract:

Women have four sources of business financing. Banks provide sufficient capital although a number of conditions are imposed before loans are granted. The Small Business Administration (SBA) is a government agency that offers financing to small business ventures. Microlenders are programs of the SBA and community organizations that lend in small amounts, while credit cards are another source of cash which can be repaid over a longer period.
