Article Abstract:

Having a newborn baby stay in the mother's hospital room as opposed to the nursery promotes bonding, prevents infection to the child, helps establish breast feeding, and helps the mother learn infant care skills. Options for having the baby in the nursery part-time are examined.

Fear of childbirth

Article Abstract:

The two most common fears of pregnant women are the painful process of child delivery and her baby's care. These fears can be ignored by making necessary preparations and by reminding pregnant women that millions have survived labor pain and delivery.
